Opening Night of 2022-2023 Season
Tonight kickstarts Justin’s busy 2022-2023 performance season as he sings Hyacinthus in Apollo et Hyacinthus by the 11-year-old W. Mozart at Teatro Malibran of Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Italy. This production is directed by Cecilia Ligorio and conducted by Andrea Marchiol. One very interesting fact about this production is that the set, costumes, and lighting are done by the students of Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia who also appear onstage as actors. After tonight’s premiere, there will be 4 more chances to catch the show on 9/11/13/15 October.
Then two weeks later, Justin will be seen as Hansel in Hansel and Gretel at The Dallas Opera in Dallas, Texas (28/30 October, 2/5 November), followed by Carmina Burana with Hawai’i Symphony Orchestra in Honolulu, Hawaii (13 November) and Handel’s Il Trionfo del Tempo e Disinganno at Opéra de Lausanne, Switzerland (25, 27 November).
