Summer is approaching in Paris, and Justin is enjoying the warmth while gearing up for his upcoming performances in San Francisco, New York, and Adelaide (Australia). In July he performs the role of Alessandro in Händel’s Tolomeo with director James Darrah and conductor Peter Whelan. Then he revisits one of his favorite roles, Hänsel, in Hänsel und Gretel. He is particularly excited to work with his fellow Northwestern/RAM alum, Sofia Troncoso, as Gretel, and to collaborate for the first time with director Dane Lam and director Constantine Costi.
Recently, Justin has done many Händel operas as he was seen in Krakow, Poland, in a concert version of Orlando, Sesto in Giulio Cesare in Egitto at Zürich Opera alongside Cecilia Bartoli, Carlo Vistoli, and Anne Sofie von Otter, and Fraarte in Radamisto at Händelfestspiele Halle. He also reprised one of his signature roles Nerone in L’incoronazione di Poppea at The Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen and appeared in an eclectic concert at the Lincoln Center as a part of the American Songbook Series, where he sang k-pop songs, pole-danced while singing Carmen arias, and performed duets with Anthony Roth Costanzo.
Justin wishes all of you a beautiful summer!
